ABOUT

Lia Gonia is a Seattle-based actor and stage manager. She is a recent graduate from Seattle University with a double major in Theatre and Communication & Media, and eager to see where her passion for bringing stories to life and connecting with audiences will take her. Alongside her love for live performance, Lia also thrives behind the scenes through digital content creation and social media marketing; she has experience in marketing and public relations for her university theatre program as well as multiple non-profit organizations.

Lia currently works as Membership & Programs Coordinator at Theatre Puget Sound, an arts advocacy organization that supports individual artists and theatre organizations across the region.

In my last quarter of college, I had the opportunity to combine my two fields of study, communication and theatre, to create a promotional film for the Seattle University Theatre program.

Through a series of faculty and student interviews, the film highlights what makes the Seattle U Theatre program special, as well as the valuable life skills that students can learn through performing arts. Lastly, this project emphasizes the significance of offering access to theatre for all students, regardless of college major. Enjoy!
